I\u2019m a big fan! I listen to their podcasts regularly for inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>However, the massive volume of information can be completely overwhelming.<\/p>\n<p>Have you ever thought to yourself, \u201cI\u2019d love to learn more and get more organized, but how in the heck am I supposed to know where even to start? Maybe I should get a coach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wait a sec\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you think <em>maybe there\u2019s<\/em> a connection here? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You feel overwhelmed and inadequate because you can\u2019t make sense of the blizzard of information spewing forth from the famous trainer-guy.<\/p>\n<p>So, now you\u2019re paying $10,000 a year for a weekly chitty-chat with one of his coaches.<\/p>\n<p>Hmmm\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Hey, it\u2019s not like a coach can\u2019t help you. Of course, they can!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s just the main reason given for having a coach that irks me.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThey keep me accountable.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Accountable for what?<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFor making my calls every day.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Quick question. Do you <em>like<\/em> making those calls?<\/p>\n<p>No? Then why do you force yourself to do things you HATE just because on Monday, your coach is going to ask, \u201cHow many hours a day did you do the thing that you HATE?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Doesn\u2019t that add <em>more<\/em> stress to your life?<\/p>\n<p>Also, did you become a professional REALTOR\u00ae because you secretly <em>really<\/em> wanted to be a telemarketer?<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not disputing that being a \u201cphone prospector\u201d is <em>one<\/em> way to make a living as a professional REALTOR\u00ae.<\/p>\n<p>It is. If you\u2019re skilled at it and exceptionally disciplined. I have friends who are stars at prospecting, and they make a very comfortable living. I admire them for it. It\u2019s just not for me.<\/p>\n<p>The way I see it, you need to make a choice.\u00a0 Do you want to <em>chase <\/em>cold leads every single day, or would you rather become a <em>client magnet<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p>You can\u2019t do both.<\/p>\n<p>Why? Because if you spend 2-3 hours every day chasing cold leads, there\u2019s not enough time left in your day to create a business that <em>attracts<\/em> clients.<\/p>\n<p>Chasing becomes a never-ending <em>grind<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a vicious circle. You pay the money to the coach to hold you accountable to do the thing you hate, so you can make money to pay the coach.<\/p>\n<p>Ugh\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Guess how many cold calls I made in my Real Estate career?<\/p>\n<p>One.<\/p>\n<p>I made the call, hung up the phone and swore, \u201cI\u2019m <em>never<\/em> doing that again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I figured out a better way. It was a struggle at first. After all, I started my career the same way as you did, with zero prospects and no idea what to do about it. I was three months in before I completed my first transaction, and that was a sympathy listing from a friend.<\/p>\n<p>But I kept at it and by the end of my first year, my plan was working and I was on a roll. From my second year on, I earned between $590,000-$865,000 for 12 consecutive years, all as an individual agent.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t let anyone ever tell you there\u2019s only one way to become successful in Real Estate, and that\u2019s by getting a coach to keep you accountable to make your calls\u2026<\/p>\n<p>You have other choices.
